The Anti-Blogfest Gary Fest!

Welcome to the Anti-Blogfest Gary Fest!

In honor of Mr. Anti-Blog Hop himself, Gary at Klahanie.

Hosted by:

Mark "Madman" Koopmans
Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh
Rockin' Robyn Engel
"Life is good" Tina
And... ME. (Did I just link myself?)

The rules:

Create the titles of three PG-13 blogfests you would never join--and then add a descriptive sentence or two.

My three blogfests I would never join:

The Romney/Obama Bloghop -- Who did you vote for and why?

The Bragadocious Bloghop -- Top 10 reasons why I'm cooler than you!

The Gary-don't-let-your-friends do bloghops Bloghop -- Er...

I've only recently gotten to know Gary, and he's quickly becoming one of my favorite bloggers. So glad we can honor him in this way! You participating in this "hop?" Do you follow Gary? And would you participate in any of the hops above? ;-)

Red. Head. Out. :D

  1. Yep, I could see a Romney/Obama blog hop getting waaay out of hand!

I've been following Gary for a good while now...and he's yet to lead me anywhere!! Just kidding....Gary is a great guy with a heart of gold and his blog is always funny as well as thought provoking.

Anyone who isn't following Gary, should be...and, I promise, this isn't a paid endorsement :)

  2. Oh oh! It seems that so far 50 people have signed up for your third one already! :) I've just recently met Gary too, and I'd say he's a keeper. :) Writer’s Mark

  3. Yes, dear Gazza (as I call Gary:) is a rockStar of the Nth degree (there just is no number low enou- er I mean *high* enough for a man of his humor and logistics (You know he speaks many languages, too :)

Hmmm I would steer away from the Rom-Ama blog hop... just 'cos only so much blood can seep out of my eyeballs in a 24-hour news cycle :)

PS... N x LOL to the "Did I just link to me" comment - that was *Roarsome* (as Henry Hugglemonster would say :)

  4. We were thinking down the same lines with one of these, and I'd steer clear of a political bloghop too. The idea scares me.

It was great co-hosting with you. The button's superb, too. Thank you!

  5. Hi Morgan - political discussion is a no-no in my books too .. I'd be off ...

You may with pleasure be cooler than me .. I'd rather be warm (and perhaps cuddly!) ...

While Gary takes the biscuit ...

Cheers - I still have to write mine - but just thought of another idea .. sadly can't credit you!! Hilary

  6. I also agree that the political blogfest would only cause trouble. You did a fantastic job creating Gary's button! Thanks for hosting this fun=filled anti=blogfest Morgan!

  7. I'm from Jamaica so while I'm all for Obama...I can't actually vote for him. Anyway my fave was the bragging one. Nice Job Morgan and Gary must feel loved.

  8. You linked to yourself - funny!
That first one would cause the Internet to implode.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ok! I confess I am blog hopping right now - hopping from blog to blog, following Gary Day celebrations :-) I am loving the posts as I go. So good to visit, Morgan!

  10. Ah, no, I wouldn't touch those with a ten and a half foot pole. Except the last one. That one might prove hilarious.

  11. I m excited for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. and i watch Ian Somerhalder's work it is pretty awesome to see on the screen as Christian Grey

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sadly I know some people who would sign up to brag about themselves. Otherwise, no thanks on any of those.

  13. Gotta admit I'm Nosey (that's my name, heh heh), but I'd NEVER make it over to your blogs! Ooh, I get enough rotten tomatoes thrown at me, don't need rotten lettuce to make a rotten salad on my tweedy-weedy jacket at a Romney/Obama fiasco. And the other two? Uhhh....Big Nose Out.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I love me, what's not to brag about, except maybe about that time...well, maybe I wouldn't join that one either. *wink* Great blogfest idea, Sweet Morgan!

    ReplyDelete
  15. This is such a cool idea for a blogfest. That's ironic, right? Yeah, I think so. :P

    ReplyDelete
  16. That first one is a nightmare. The other two made me crack up. Yeah...Gary is quickly becoming a force, whether he likes it or not.

  17. Great ones! Number three especially made me laugh. Love your blog! :D

    Here are mine!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I might have kept mine a bit shorter if I had have read yours first. Aah Gary good for a giggle even when he's not the one writing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ha...Momma's don't let your boys grow up to be cowboys or let your friends do bloghops. Politicians..... always a no-no.

    ReplyDelete
  20. How can we resist this blogfest? Wall to wall laughing!

    ReplyDelete
  21. #3 was beyond clever, and you'll never catch me at those first two. Well done! Thanks for co-hosting with me!

  22. The Romney/Obama blog hop sounds...EX-CI-TING! Haha. Nice ones.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I am seriously gonna do my best to use the word "bragadocious" in as many sentences as possible today. :-)

  24. Ha! I think a tongue in cheek bragadacious would be hysterical. But not a serious one. And what? No politics? But blogs are so effective in getting people to change their minds! (not)

    ReplyDelete
  25. That first one would certainly be like opening a can of worms!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh my gosh, yes. If there is ever a political blogfest, I'm running for the hills! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  27. Absolutely avoid politics like the plague!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks so much for hosting this, Morgan! These are so fun and Gary is a great guy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I can think of 11 things that make you cooler than me... but you know them all ready!

The Blog-fest that make me want to say "NO"...

  30. I tend to not do bloghops either, simply because it's a lot of time invested (usually) and it can be off-topic from what I usually post. But I always enjoy reading other people's entries!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Gary's witty banter is always a treat, so this is an excellent way to pay tribute! Although, I suspect Penny takes over the commenting now and again--she's a clever canine *need to school my border collie on her internet-savvy tricks*

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm loving everyone's bloghop choices - er, is Gary participating? LOL, I think I'll head over there.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hey Morgan,

Aha, a "pawlitical" blogfest, as Penny would note. Of course I wouldn't join that one even if I knew who the folks mentioned actually were :)

I think the second one has already been done by the smug, must-read bloggers who insist on telling anybody who bothers to listen, that they are better than everybody :) I certainly wouldn't get involved in that one.

Your third blogfest is indeed a cautionary tale. Friends don't let friends get stressed out. Especially with a certain alphabet challenge that hijacks the internet for the month of April and beyond. By the time the reflection post about the reflection posts about the alphabet have finished, it's next April. Arggggghhhhhh!!!

This comment was sponsored by the good folks from the blogger's favourite airline, "Blog Air" :)

Thank you, Morgan and I note all the really nice stuff you said and the others have said about me. It's a pleasure to know you.

    Gary :)

  34. I also connected with Gary recently. He is such a cool dude, so supportive and full of wit!
Thanks for hosting this amazing blogfest, Morgan.

  35. The Bragadocious Bloghop is the kind of bloghop the members of my very first writers' group would join.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The third one sounds familiar, I wonder why, hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The first hop would get very heated.

I'm having a fun time reading these. Yay for the anti-blogfest and Gary.

    ReplyDelete
  38. OH, heavens, I think you nailed the absolute WORST bloghop topic with that first one! I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a Popsicle stick than get in the middle of THAT discussion. (Or should I say obnoxious argument?)

Thanks for co-hosting the blog for Gary. Nice to meetcha.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't know Gary! What is WRONG with me! Will fix that :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. The first one: Yea, FANTASTIC. I wouldn't want to be part of that comment section. Arrrgghh! You hit a good one!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm sure the first one would bring nothing but calm, open minded discussions...right?

    :D

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love that you linked yourself, Morgs.

I follow Gary and he's a champ, his pup too. Yay for blogfest, even anti-ones. :D

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm having fun reading these :). I love Gary, and his blog.

    ReplyDelete
  44. An Obama Romney discussion? Ugh! I'd rather be abducted by aliens, probed, then ... oh wait, that was one of my Bloghops.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Good ones! I would stay away for sure. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  46. I don't touch heated, political, or polarising topics on my blog, though I frequently wrote about hot-button issues on my old Angelfire site. The only time I posted about a potentially controversial issue on my current blog was when I took part in Blog for Choice day this January, and I felt that were too important to let any potential flamers scare me away.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Politic and me do not mesh. I plead the 5th and just stay far far away!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I so agree with the first, Morg. Politics is a no win situation .... and the second.. NO WAY!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'd never join a political blog fest. People on either side will cut you into little pieces and feed you to the elephants and donkeys.

    ReplyDelete
  50. That Obama Romney one would not work for me. Beating a dead horse comes to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  51. This contest cracks me up! I love all the blogfest ideas I've been seeing. HILARIOUS!

    ReplyDelete
  52. 10 reasons why, the cat would give that a try

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yikes! That first one would be horrible. :P
I totally forgot to post, but I'm trying to go around to those less dopey than me. Loved your post! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Everyone's had such funny and interesting anti-blogfest ideas. And of course I am the coolest. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh,my! I lost the power, so that wouldn't have worked to well for hopping!
    I loved yours-such wit n' sass~
    :D

    ReplyDelete
  56. Bragging and the 3rd one - yeah - who would'da thought, huh!

Great blog hop - all are so entertaining!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Great list. :)
I wish I'd had time to do this hop.

    ReplyDelete
  58. great terrible hops! esp the first! the second would be funny!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Great titles! I wouldn't join ANY of them :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. The Romney/Obama bloghop would turn into quite the nasty one I would imagine!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Funny:) I didn't get around to his blog hop, btu it sounds neat.

    ReplyDelete
  62. You guys are just too too silly coming up with this bloghop! If we ever want the blogverse to explode and then just disintegrate, we should definitely go with your #1, heheHE!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm getting such a kick out of these. Too funny =)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I would have joined the third... but... I... didn't. Hm. Just been so busy lately I didn't get around to sign up.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Those are awesome! Can't even imagine the disaster the 1st one would cause!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. LOL! What fun. Will go back and check out past blogs...
