Five Awesome Things and Felicite Found!

I have a list of things why this week is awesome.

1.) I got my wisdom teeth out a few days ago and I can finally eat again!

2.) It's the LA SCBWI conference next week that I am SO STOKED about attending for my 3rd time.

3.) Michael Di Gesu has a SPECIAL reveal on his blog MONDAY that may or may not involve one of his fabulous illustrations... so make sure and CHECK IT OUT! I know I can't wait...

4.) The Anti-Blogfest Gary Fest is going to be a huge hit.

And

5.) ...

Are you ready?

One of my dear friends, Julia King, is letting ME reveal the cover of her debut novel, FELICITE FOUND today! I beta'd this book and loved it. Julia is a talent and a sweetheart, so I'm so excited for her success. Here we go:

Seventeen-year-old Pierre Rousseaux witnesses a young girl take a near fatal plunge off Pont Neuf Bridge into the freezing water of the River Seine in Paris, France. After diving into the racing river himself, he is able to rescue her from a watery death, but only after her head is bashed into the river wall. Upon reviving her from unconsciousness, Pierre realizes she doesn’t remember her past at all.

The girl struggles to recall anything from before she may have tried to commit suicide, not only once but possibly twice. The few glimpses into her life are discovered through dreams that can only suggest her past was horrific and jaded by intense anger.

Her memories may force her to lose everything she has grown to adore, especially the boy she loves more than anything in the world: Pierre.

The girl, Félicité Moreau, must decide if the life she desires is enough to make things from her past right. Pierre struggles to resolve if Félicité means enough to him that he will fight for her, regardless of her past and despite his own personal demons.

This is Julia King’s debut paranormal novel—a Horrific Love Story.

Fun, right? So proud of Julia! Release date is AUGUST 12, 2013. Available for e-book purchase through Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Available in paperback through Createspace. You can find it on Goodreads here.

What's on your list of awesome things this week? Going to check out Michael's blog Monday? Love Julia's cover? Added it to Goodreads? Going to sign up for the Garyfest?

    1. Donna, if I say too much then it'll give away the paranomality (yes, that's not really a word) of the book. But yup, indeed it is paranormal. Just you wait, chica!

  29. It's always good to have the wisdies out ONCE you have healed - before you have healed, maybe not so great. But I was quite lucky with getting mine out. I was eating solid food the very same night, and basically had no pain at all! I don't know if anyone actually believes me when I tell them my wisdom teeth story, but it really is true. :)

Love the sound of this book!

  35. Hey Morgan,

Super humble apologies for not leaving one of my um highly cherished comments at an earlier time. You know how it is. The hectic life of having superstar celebrity status. I don't know how you cope with all the adulation. I know I struggle with it.

I know what I'll do. I'll leave one of those real sincere comments, such as, "Great posting!" Or, "Thanks for sharing!" I'm kidding. Anyway, I'm glad you can eat. I'm delighted you're stoked about the conference. Michael Di Gesu is one of my heroes and well done. And arggghhhhh! to that "Gary Fest"! LOL

And hey, I note another one of my favourite (favorite), apologies to my proper English spell check, Julia King, has revealed her cover from her debut novel, on your thoughtful site. Hi Julia! *waves*. Well done, Julia. Much success and fulfilment from this.

    Sadly, I must go now....

    Gary :)
