What Inspires Me...

You know how we each have that “thing” that grips the inner part of our soul and demands that we create? Everything about this video is what “that spark” is for me. The music is my favorite kind of music; the movement makes me want to furiously write words on paper. This is what inspires me:

(And yes, this must be the world record of posts for me in one week. I just have wanted to post this video since the night it premiered and finally found it!)

Red. Head. Out. :D

  1. Very original! Now if only writers could really dance like that. Or in my case, dance at all.
I'd post a video of what motivates me, but the music would scare most of my readers...
And do you realize how close you are to four hundred followers?

  2. I have way too many things that inspire me--which is great for getting things going and done, but not awesome for sharing those things with others. If I go to YouTube to pick out a song I'll be there all day watching performances, or if I try to make a list of movies I'll have to be talked off of a ledge for having to leave something off. :-)

The video rocks btw! The energy and coordination required to do that stuff is hard to imagine.

  4. Now, if only my office ran like this. I wouldn't have to worry about weight loss again (not doing any Pirouettes, though, sorry)! :)

  5. Very cool! I think you should go out for SYTYCD Morgan! I would totally watch that! That song reminded me of Vivaldi and brought back all kinds of memories for when I played in the symphony. :)

    1. Oh my gosh, yes! I think I've told you that Baroque music is my FAVORITE... and I love Vivaldi... except for the 4 seasons, which is funny, because that's kinda what he's known for! LOL.

And from my experience, I totally love being in the pit more than being on stage--and that's saying a lot. It's magic! I bet you miss playing. :/

  26. This is so cool! I wish I could dance like that :(

The only kind of dancing I'm remotely good at is hip hop. I have no idea why. I guess I have a little swag :P

  29. I loved that Christopher Scott opening number. But I end up feeling that way about most of his work.

  30. That was really cool! When I wrote The Calling, I listened to a different song every chapter I wrote. For Birds of a Feather, I didn't listen to music at all. Now I'm hearing songs that fit certain scenes and want to get back to writing so bad! Thanks for the inspiring video!
